My son started here as a freshman. We're very excited to be part of the school, but it turned out to be a complete disaster from literally the first day. They have confusing and terrible communication as well. My son really had a tough couple of months, but his teachers never seem to be concerned. It was only when we received the midterm grades that we found out he wasn't handing in homework on time, but he didn't seem to be grasping some of the work presented in class. This is a terrible place with no warmth or sense of community at all! I really have nothing good to say about this school.
It would've been a good idea to vet their coaches a bit more. We were horrified to learn that our daughter and her friends were spending the night in an Air BnB WITH THEIR SINGLE MALE SEAT on a trip to an athletics meeting in the hinterland. The optics really messed with my mind.
Our daughter recently completed her freshman year of high school. Teachers always inform me of the issues via email. I appreciate that they really maintain good communication with us. She, too, is a minority, so don't believe everything you read.
