My child has been in Nicaea Academy North Naples branch, for many years. The school is not too bad, for the lower grades. However, there's a real problem with the teachers covering from fourth to eighth grade. In some classes, there has been a high turnover of teachers and many students have left the school. We decided not re-enroll this year, because of how bad the previous year was. With the promise of a new teacher, we give it another year. And it was a huge mistake. The communication is horrible. The teacher does not update RenWeb or contact you if their is any issues. The principle is only part-time. The staff complains to parents, that they are underpaid. The school is definitely underfunded, with almost no technology. The classes are small though. But, with only one teacher per grade and sometimes a teacher for multiple grades, there's no way to resolve a conflict with a teacher student mismatch. Unfortunately, most of the students in this school, do not go on to higher education.

My daughter's safety was neglected here at Nicaea Academy. They allowed and thought it was not only funny, that it's a normal kid stuff for a little boy, to hit my little girl. Moreover, he had the right to spit in her face and made fun of her skin color. The boy was also allowed to make fun of a disabled little girl with braces on her feet. He also had other complaints against him, from other parents about bullying other children. This kid was so out of control because of his family problems, that the school was clearly ignoring. That he was having tantrums and was witnessed beating and punching teachers. How did the teachers handle it? They put him in the bathroom and keeping the door closed, until he calms down. They refused to make any reports about this child. This school also has a teacher who is allowed to do school pictures of her children. Then, she refuses to give you pictures of your children. And I'm not the only parent who has been refused pictures. Needless to say, when I tried to contact the owner of this school, Principal Nancy and her teachers got nothing. Her only response was to tell me that my innocent little girl had been expelled from school and that after four months, they still refuse to give me the pictures of my child. Unfortunately, this boy still goes to this school.

I wouldn't advise anyone to spend the money to send their child to Nicaea Academy. I thought it would be a good fit for my son, but it proved otherwise. There's no organization or hands-on activities with the children. There are so many better choices for private schools. They told me how they could get my son back up to grade level. However, they did nothing to help him reach that goal. Honestly, I don't even know how this school is still in operation.
